LYNN “CHIRPS” SMITH & JIM McVEIGH is the musical duo that will round out the night with their unique take on traditional old time folk music.  Smith plays traditional American stringband music on fiddle, banjo and mandolin. Hailing from IL and WI, he is known throughout the country for his mastery of a huge repertoire of old time tunes, especially those played in the Midwest from the era before radio. A veteran of countless festival and barndance performances, Chirps happily shares his music with toetapping audiences of all persuasions. He and his bandmates find fiddle music to be the finest path to companionship and good food. McVeigh is from Belfast, Northern Ireland and has played extensively throughout Ireland and the British Isles. His background is in Irish traditional music playing Guitar and Bodhran with occasional outbursts of singing. Since coming to the United States in 1993 he has played in the Irish music scene throughout the Midwest and beyond.
