Poets                         Francesco Levato             Kiki Petrosino
 .
Poet, translator, and filmmaker Francesco Levato is the author of four books of poetry: Endless, Beautiful, Exact (Argotist, 2011); Elegy for Dead Languages (Marick Press, 2010); War Rug, a book length documentary poem (Plastique Press, 2009); and Marginal State (Fractal edge Press, 2006). He has translated into English the works of Italian poets Tiziano Fratus, Creaturing(Marick Press, 2010), and Fabiano Alborghetti, The Opposite Shore. His work has been published, or is forthcoming, in Drunken Boat, Versal, Otoliths, The Progressive, OmniVerse, Lightning’d Press, Certain Circuits, Moria, VLAK Magazine, Slope, SpringGun, Ping Pong, E-ratio, On Barcelona, Poets & Artists, Another Chicago Magazine, Poetry International, Xcp: Cross Cultural Poetics, Cordite Poetry Review, and LA Review. He has collaborated and performed with various composers, including Philip Glass, and his cinépoetry has been exhibited in galleries and featured at film festivals in Berlin, Chicago, New York, and elsewhere. He is the founder and director of the Chicago School of Poetics, holds an MFA in poetry from New England College, and is pursuing a PhD in English Studies at Illinois State University.

Kiki Petrosino is the author of two poetry collections: Fort Red Border (Sarabande, 2009) and Hymn for the Black Terrific (Sarabande, 2013). Her poems have appeared in Tin House, Fence, Gulf Coast, The New York Times, and elsewhere. With fellow poet Dan Rosenberg, she is founder and co-editor of Transom, an independent on-line poetry journal. Kiki Petrosino is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Louisville, where she teaches creative writing..

Musicians                    The Barrow Band

The Barrow Band is a folk group based out of the Twin Cities, consisting of five members.
The members of The Barrow Band come together from many influences and all contribute to the creation of the music.
The Barrow Band has a wide range of sound from a stripped down acoustic set consisting of just a couple of members
or the full electric five piece band. The sound is highly influenced from the natural places of the world, but especially
the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota where the band originally formed.

Weather Permitting, this event will be held outside.  Bring some blankets to sit on and get ready for a beautiful night at an Ecological and Just location (the Eco-Justice Center)!
