Sparkle Motion (aka Sparkle D. Motion) has been on the grind since 2006, after relocating to Chicago from her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Determined to make a wedge in the middle of the music world, she began writing her own lyrics and composing, recording and re-recording daily. In 2007, Sparkle Motion was invited to be a part of one of Chicago’s few Hip-Hop & Alternative bands, Raw Footage. This opportunity allowed her to open up for major artists Nas and Raheem Devaughn. Sparkle Motion parted from the band in 2008, deciding to focus on her own development, the result being best described as an enigmatic capsule of many genres and vocal abilities, ranging among Jazz, Rock, Pop, Alternative, and R&B. In 2010, Sparkle Motion was personally asked by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony to accompany them on their chart-topping song Thuggish Ruggish Bone, during their show at Austin’s Fuel Room. At this time, Sparkle Motion is combining her genius of music and alchemy to generate her upcoming EP, Feed My Nickelodeon, which will be released in the Fall of 2012. And feed it everyone will!
